Cultural Bloom was created for the Riverlights Multicultural Festival Finale 2022.

A 15-minute multi-media performance along the riverbank, showcasing three 6 metre ‘flower’ inflatables patterned to represent the diverse uniqueness of the Maitland local cultural communities. Starting off ‘closed’, each flower would slowly emerge over a narration and audio soundscape, blossoming into a wondrous display of colour, pattern, light and sound. The finale culminated in a fun, choreographed dance with the flowers, activated by ‘puppeteers’, moving over and above the audience.
